IMPORTANT NOTICE: A deviation has been requested by the host club for the Sedan Nat's to remove the exhaust port hieght restriction. The procedure for a deviation request before the event is to get a majority vote among the ExCom to approve the deviation. There has been a majority vote and the deviation request is approved. There will be no exhaust port height restriction for this event. The engines must still comply will all other ROAR specs including .12 size and 3 PORTS maximum. Rick Wilson, ROAR President

Good choice, Rick! Nice that it happened so quickly too!
Great news, thanks Rick!
It should be noted that the deviation was requested by the host club. Let's give them some credit. I am refering to the Eighth Scale Racers of Toledo, Ohio.
I'm not trying to stur up any trouble, but why was the deviation requested? Is ROAR going to drop this rule?
Yes IFMAR has taken out the exhaust port height rule already. In 2005 ROAR will also. It is becoming very difficult to find engines that comply with our exhaust port height restrictions now since many of the mgf's have gone with the IFMAR rule for the new motors they are producing.
For everyone coming out to the 2004 ROAR Sedan Nationals next month, this is the track that awaits you.....
SWEEET!!!

Thanks For posting all the info Ted. Will you be showing a list of entry in the next week or so? Just want to make sure Mine got to ya. Thanks.
Our web master will be back in town on Tuesday. He will post the updated list. At this point we have 105 Sedans and 22 Master Sedans entered. We will be expanding our drivers stand to accommodate 12 racers before this race. That should allow for around 144 entries. The driving line was measured this weekend and is 941 ft. Most good lap times are in the low 20's, to mid 21's.
Barry Baker TQ after three rounds Barry Baker holds the TQ position after three rounds of qualifying at the 2004 ROAR Fuel Sedan Nationals. The race is being held in Toledo, Ohio, hosted by the One Eighth Racers RC Car Club. Practice started Monday, and the first three rounds of qualifying were held Friday. Three more rounds are scheduled for Saturday, with the Main Events scheduled for Sunday. Today’s events are still being sorted out by the race officials, but as of this writing Barry holds the TQ position in his Associated Nitro TC3, followed by Mike Swauger in a Mugen, then Josh Cyrul in a Kyosho. Roughly 150 racers signed up for the event, which is being held on the 110’ x 230’ track which was fully re-paved for this event. As this is being written, Brian is still working on sorting out the results. Because of the number of racers and the limited amount of time, they quickly ran through the three rounds, after which they need to disqualify those racers who got DQ, and then sort out the qualifying points for the rest of the racers. The heats will be re-sorted for tomorrow. The standings at the end of the first round were: Barry Baker Associated Mike Swauger Mugen Josh Cyrul Kyosho Mike Blackstock Associated Kyle Skidmore Associated Paul Ciccarello Team Magic Mike Dunnigan Mugen Brandon McNally Serpent Chris Tossolini Kyosho Walter Henderson Associated As I said, as of this writing, I don't have the updates for rounds 2 and 3, but Brian did tell me that the order for the top 3 racers was Barry, Mike Swauger, and Josh. I should be able to post the rest of the standings tomorrow (Saturday). Weather was good, although we did have two brief rain delays, for what I could probably call "heavy humidity". It sprinkled, but never really did rain. Lots of racers here, and lots of very FAST racers! The club did a great job of setting up the heats - the fastest racers are all spread out, and all heats have a mix of "fast" and "average" racers. This will be sorted out tomorrow when the heats are re-done based on today's results. Team Associated is here in force, and there are lots of very fast Nitro TC3 racers. Barry was the fastest. Mike Blackstock also looked great. Mike Swauger looked fantastic too, although he had a bit more trouble with traffic than Barry. Hara also looked wonderful, but he too had traffic problems. Art Carbonell and Rene from the Serpent Factory are here helping Brandon McNally, and Brandon looked pretty good too. Josh Cyrul's car looked the fastest on the track to me, but the stopwatch doesn't lie. Chris Tosolini also had a very fast Kyosho. Racing resumes early tomorrow morning. I'll try to get a few photos uploaded to the SGRID/Deneba Image Server.
Thanks for the update! Go Team AE!!!! Looking forward to pix.
Hi Mike, How did the old boys do (masters that is)? Thanks for the update. Keep it coming
TQ Mike Swauger, driving a mugen mtx3 2nd barry baker driving a associated tc3
Mike Swauger TQ at ROAR 1/10 Fuel Sedan Nationals! Mike Swauger, driving a Mugen MTX3 is the ROAR Fuel Sedan Nationals Top Qualifier. Mikey, Barry Baker, and Josh Cyrul were the three racers fighting over the top position, with Atsushi Hara (HPI R40) getting faster every round. Mikey took over the TQ position in round #5. Barry Baker still had a chance for TQ, but had to be fastest in round 6 to do it. However, Atsushi was the quickest in the last round, keeping Mikey in the top spot. The top 10 racers moving directly into the A- Main are Mikey (Mugen MTX3), Barry Baker (Associated NTC3), Atsushi Hara (HPI R40), Josh Cyrul (Kyosho FW05R), Mike Blackstock (Associated NTC3), Kyle Skidmore (NTC3), Paul Ciccarello (Team Magic G4), Chris Tossolini (Kyosho FW05R), Brian Berry (“Work of Art” Serpent 710), and Ron Atomic (Kyosho FW05R). That’s six brands of cars competing in the hour long A-Main to be held Sunday! Two additional cars will bump-up from the B-Main.
Go Swauger!!!
The next two responses will be the Qualifying Standings. They're rather long, so I'll "hide" them. I hope they come out legible.... and thanks to Bryan for extracting all the data from Jlap, so I can post it here...
Well, the Image Server is either down, or for some other reason won't respond to my "ftp" program, so I can't send over too many images yet. Here are two of them though:
Barry Baker, TQ after the first three rounds.
